Simple Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my friends Birthday!  I used an SVG from Penny Duncan's Creations The background was done on my Cricut using my Cri-kits gel pens!  The J was from a kit that my friend gave me.

Two new freebies to share!!

Well it is that time of year again when Science projects are assigned and I help with the board to add that Title and any pics that I can cut to make it look better.  So this year my son decided to do invisible ink.  Sounds simple!  I have no cartridges with lemons or orange juice containers on them.  Thanks goodness I have MTC!!  I found free coloring pages online and away I went!! So here is the 2 free files formatted in MTC and SVG!  The orange juice box I had to almost redo a lot of it because the lines weren't connected.  The right upper corner is a bit rough.

 In order for the juices to show up we had to use the embossing heat gun and they showed up real good...

Visual Designs By Chris.I subscribe to their newsletter!  Every month she has a grab bag for the month and this is from the month of April!!

Here goes...

Well I have been trying to work in MTC with my Cricut and have now found out that it is no longer compatible so...I have decided to not update and use it as long as I can!!  Here is a file I have been working on for MTC and have decided to share it with you guys.  I have not had a chance to cut it out yet due to the continuous back issues I have had lately... teddy bear apple barrel If someone would like to use this and see how it turns out I would love to see it!!

I am coming back slowly but surely!!

I have some projects in the works and am trying to heal enough to do them!!  I have injured my back and now have a hard time sitting for very long and we know that crafting is really all about sitting!!  So I am very slowly coming back to it!!  More to follow soon!!

I know it has been forever since I have posted! Life has been a bit hectic around here! I have gotten a job...Yippee! My husband is also now working yeah! So to find time to blog it has been a little time consuming. For my birthday I was able to purchase " Make the Cut"! I love love love it...So here is the first project I did!

Hey all, it has been awhile since I have posted! I have been busy with a new job! I ran out of adhesive and we just could not justify the expense. I did however get over to my friend Lori's house to make a card for my son's 16th birthday! She had gotten a kit from Annie's attic back in May (she thinks) that was masculine and she did not use all of it. Soooo we decided to make one of the cards with a little bit of modifications! Do you hate it when you can't remember if you ran the dishwasher!! I know I do! I have been trying to figure out what to make the clean/dirty sign out of as I wanted to make one myself! I finally found an idea I am going to run with check it out!! I will definitely be making this in the next few weeks...

Halloween Challenge

Here is my Simple entry into Getting Cricky with K Andrews Challenge to Make a card for Halloween using ANY Cricut Cartridge.  I used Plantin SchoolBooks for the TRICK OR TREAT words in Design Studio.  The orange layer is card stock from my stash and the Black Layer is actually vellum co;ored on the back side with black Sharpie.  KAndrews showed a tutorial on this tecnique and I tried it and think it looks good!  The background is from a box that has solid colored and patterned cuts in it. On the top of the box it has a label that says 076767 Solid/print Soup Combo pack it is from Pixie Press and called Alphabet Soup.  It is about 7 or so years old so I don't even know if it is available anymore.  The black sqares I crimped and just thought that it needed a bit of texture!  Thanks for looking!

Here is a variation of the Okieladybug's card!  I highly recommend her blog okieladybugsscrapnmore.blogspot.com She has a lot of great ideas and if you own Design Studio she has a bunch of cut files for downloading!!  She is quite a character as well!!  Very humorous and fun!!  The Cart. Mostly uses Plantin Schoolbook and in her variation she used Locker Talk on her tickets as I did not have locker talk I skipped that part and instead used the Baseball Solutions cart. for the soda!!

For the Popcorn I cut out all the pieces and put them down on scrap paper and took my Color Box cat's eye in Canary and just started tapping on them!!  I really thought it turned out great!!  Here is another version of this same theme...

This card was made with Plantin Schoolbook in the Design Studio! I was able the weld the sentiment together with the 3 different lines of text! Thanks for looking

I love this card I used Just Because Cart. and Joys of the season Cart. The coffee mug is Joys and the swirl is actually the reindeers antler! The rest is Just Because! I just love this card!

Here They Are!!!

I had so much fun!!  My Friend Tracee sells Stampin' up and she moved not to long ago and gave me a box full of stuff.  All this stuff was already cut and stamped so away I went!  I love how they turned out!  Hope you do too...

Christmas is coming!!!

As in Christmas cards!!  Getting an early start this year and am really gonna send them out!!  Usually I make some and space out and by the time I am ready to send them it is Valentine's Day!! LOL  So later today I am taking pics and posting them!!

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry I have been so busy with Baseball Tournaments the last few weeks.  Summer is winding down and I have been busy applying for jobs.  I can't believe that it is taking so long...  Some good news though I had a job interview today and I think it went very well!  When I got home from my interview I checked my e-mail and a job I had sent my resume to had said they checked it and I am a good match and they are passing it up the chain!  Plus one of my favorite stores the Scrapbook Zone asked for my resume on Mon. I filled an application last week.  Hopefully something will pan out!!  I need all the prayers I can get on these!!  I hope to be crafting soon.
